What the AI actually does
Each photo is handled on its own. If it has a clear face in it, a video model animates the whole picture: the people move a little, hair and fabric shift, the camera drifts. If there’s no face, or the faces are very small (a venue, a table, a distant crowd), it gets a slow camera move that gives the picture depth instead of animating people who can barely be seen.
Every scene lasts three seconds. The film opens with a two-second title card, then plays the scenes in the order the photos were taken. You can drag them into any order before you pay. Scenes are joined with straight cuts and set to one licensed music track.

Photos that work, and photos that don’t
Work well
- Faces that are clear and turned towards the camera
- Good light, sharp focus
- One person or a few, reasonably close to the camera
- Phone photos, professional photos and scans of prints alike
Work less well
- Faces side-on, covered or turned away. The AI fills in what it can’t see and may get it wrong.
- Photos taken mid-movement, such as a step or a throw. The movement tends to carry on.
- Fine detail, like writing or an intricate bouquet, can shimmer.
- People blurred in the background can drift into focus.
The model guesses at motion; it doesn’t know what happened next. Expressions can shift a little over the three seconds, which is part of what makes a scene feel alive, and occasionally what makes one look wrong.

Questions
- Is this AI?
- Yes. A video model generates the motion in each scene from your photo. Nothing is taken from stock footage: every scene starts from one of your photographs.
- How many photos do I need?
- At least one, up to your package’s limit of 10, 20 or 40. The price is per package, not per photo, so it’s worth using the full allowance.
- Can I use photos from my phone?
- Yes. Upload them as JPEG or PNG files.
- How long does it take?
- Usually minutes. A short test film took a little over two minutes to make; a 40-photo film takes longer. You get an email with a link as soon as it’s ready.
- What if one scene doesn’t come out well?
- If the AI fails to make a scene, it tries again. If that fails too, the photo gets the slow camera move instead, so every photo still appears. You can’t remake a single scene yourself. If something in the finished film looks wrong, email contact@weddingstory.ai with the film’s link.
- Can I choose the music?
- Not yet. Every film uses the same licensed track, trimmed to length and faded out at the end.
- What happens to my photos?
- They’re used only to make your film and never to train AI models. They’re deleted 90 days after the film is delivered. The film itself stays available to watch and download for 12 months.
